Career Planning Workshop

Workshop Description

CAN has the privilege of providing all career and employment related workshop services to the public on behalf of  the Alberta Government.  These workshops are offered in the Red Deer at the Canada Alberta Services Centre or at our downtown office location. One of the most widely popular and applicable workshops offered through our company is the Career Planning Workshop. This three day workshop is a comprehensive course that takes individuals through the three phases of the career planning process:

Assessment - This phase challenges participants to look constructively and objectively at exactly what drives them. Our skilled facilitators guide attendees through an extensive collection of self-evaluations including:

  1. Personality - "Wired  That Way" Personality Assessment
  2. Interests - COPS Interest Survey
  3. Values - Values Card Sort
  4. Skills - MicroSkills Card Sort
  5. Abilities - CAPS Survey
  6. Work Satisfaction - Work Satisfaction Card Sort

Exploration - This second phase of the workshop progression offers attendees the opportunity to gain the knowledge and resources necessary to undertake an extensive research process in order to identify potentially meaningful career options.

Action - This phase is the last portion in the career planning workshop. The main focus of this phase is to encourage and motivate attendees to follow through with a positive and thorough career plan by offering numerous resources, connections and formal instruction on the most appropriate and successful career planning and work search techniques for independent implementation post-workshop.

Career Planning Workshop - Day Class

When - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 8:45am - 4:15pm *
Where - Canada Alberta Service Centre located on the 2nd Floor of First Red Deer Place at 4911-51st in Red Deer, Alberta 

Career Planning Workshop - Night Class

When - Tuesday from 5:30pm - 9:30pm, Wednesday from 5:00pm - 9:00pm & Thursday from 5:30pm - 9:30pm *
Where - Tuesday & Thursday classes are offered at the CAN Offices at #18, 4712 50th (Ross) Street in downtown Red Deer. Wednesdays class is offered at the Canada Alberta Service Centre located on the 2nd Floor of First Red Deer Place at 4911-51st in downtown Red Deer.
