This 6 & 1/2 - hour workshop is designed for individuals over the age of 45 who are finding themselves either needing or wanting to acquire meaningful employment. This may be for reasons of boredom, financial obligations, a need to “keep in touch with the working population”, or to enhance savings to meet personal goals and aspirations, Some will find that at this stage in their life, they need to either supplement a pension income, or they need to support themselves. Some have become single, some have adult children living with them, and some have a desire to follow a passion to pursue a life-long dream. Whatever the reason for their participation, this workshop is designed to enhance their perceptions of their marketability in today’s workforce, assist them to expand their options, and plan their approach to the work force.
This workshop provides participants with options through the exploration of:
- Potential work options
- Labour market influences
- Individual assets
- Trends research skills affecting future work or career choices
- "Best Fit" - what type of employment best fits an individual at this time
